About

I’d like to introduce myself  to you as the founder of Stretch the Imagination. I am a mom, a teacher, an artist, and a dedicated yoga practitioner. I graduated from Duke University with a teaching degree in 1994 and took a circuitous route through the media and technology worlds to end up where my passions lay - in education. 2002 was momentous year for me - not only did I receive my yoga certification from Mindful Body yoga studio, but I also left St Luke’s the prestigious pre-school in San Francisco to start Stretch The Imagination.

I started Stretch The Imagination with the goal of creating a nurturing center where children come to learn through creative discovery. Research has proven the importance and positive developmental impact of art, music and movement and we wholeheartedly believe in this approach. We strive to create a center where time and space are given to the discovery of these creative outlets. As a mom and an educator I work hard to create a special place where your children and mine can be safe and learn while having fun!
